Stargate Atlantis

The Stargate is closing for good...on television anyway. Sci Fi Channel today quietly revealed that Stargate Atlantis would not be renewing the show for a sixth season and that season five, currently airing, would be its last. Stargate Atlantis is a spin-off of Stargate SG-1, which ran for 10 years on both Showtime and Sci Fi beginning in 1997. Atlantis began airing in 2004, and will conclude with its 100th episode in January 2009. Atlantis built on the successful science-fiction franchise created by the 1994 MGM film Stargate, and follows a crew of explorers who travel to a far off galaxy to learn about the lost city of Atlantis. The show won't simply blink out of existence, however. The show's cancellation came in a press release revealing that a Stargate Atlantis movie is in the works. Following in the bootprints of fellow fare such as Battlestar Galactica and SG-1.

NCIS Spinoff Casts CSI Alumna, Two OthersThe ensemble for CBS' planned NCIS spinoff continues to flesh out. Not long after it was reported that Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J are circling two lead roles, three other characters have been cast.Louise Lombard, who played CSI's Sofia Curtis for three seasons, has landed what is considered the series' female lead: Clara, a former major in the military police turned investigator.The Hollywood Reporter also reports that Peter Cambor (Notes from the Underbelly) will play Nate, a quick-witted operational psychologist.Just as NCIS was born of a JAG episode, this latest offshoot will kick off as an episode of NCIS.

Entourage said in court papers that he suffered a concussion, a ruptured eardrum, a burst blood vessel in his eye and a torn rotator cuff in the July 2005 scuffle with Iverson's security detail. The altercation occurred when the basketball star's entourage attempted to take over the bar's VIP section, according to court papers. No criminal charges were filed.
Piven, the Emmy-friendly star of Entourage, exited the production in December, 10 weeks early, citing health concerns related to mercury poisoning, which Entourage said he got from eating fish. In the statement, the producers noted that Entourage have requested "a wide range of relevant information" from Entourage about his "alleged illness," including "medical records and documentation of Mr. Piven's activities both during and after the run of the show." Star Trek conventions and features the guest appearance of the cast of
Star Trek: The Next Generation, is aiming to attract two groups of viewers.
One will be the loyal fans of the animated hit, and the other will be the loyal fans of the
sci-fi spin-off.
However, the majority will consider themselves fans of both, as
Family Guy and sci-fi--for some reason or other--go together like martinis and talking dogs.
Family Guy producer David A. Goodman considers himself to be a hardcore "Trekkie" and sees no
problem lampooning one of his favorite properties.
"I think it's easy to mock things that take themselves too seriously," Goodman said on a conference
call with the media today. "Star Trek is both wonderful and pompous at the same time [laughs]. I am a die-hard Trekkie, but there are moments in a Star Trek where it takes itself very seriously."

Lafayette is just 007-James-Bond-21 Those polished, bulging biceps were mesmerizing and I totally missed his first lines. He is hard working, hard drinking, smart ass mouthed, powerful queen, that I wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of. Can't wait to see more story lines involving him.
Sookie's brother is seriously a creep, but there are depths there to be explored. The-Sopranos-Seasons-1-6 I don't find him appealing just because he has "boy next door" good looks. His sleasy white southern twisted bigot attitude was a real turn off, but he makes a great potential villain.

In my opinion Stargate SG-1 is one of the best sci-fi shows ever made. Not only does it have a very original and compelling premise but it also has some of the best and most original characters of any TV show. As well as this it manages to pull of not only convincing character development but also manages to move the show itself forward at a steady and realistic pace. It has great writers with fabulous plotlines and dialogue. The acting is also some of the best you will find in a genre show of this type. Richard Dean Anderson in particular ii am not really into realistic programmes. i watched "hollyoaks" for a while and a love prison break thats it. i love programmes like smallville lost buffy the vampire slayer angel and even "sabrina the teenage witch"... however i watched One Tree Hill and it was amazing.

What is the difference between the Star Trek: TNG Complete Seasons set and the Complete Series set?I want to order a Star Trek: The Next Generation box set and have read some bad reviews about how the Star trek Complete Series set was packaged. What I'd really like to know is are there any differences in DVD content, if they include the same things, I might choose to buy the Seasons set just for better packaging. Event if it is much more expensive.
I am the biggest fan of the UFC and have seen some of the PPV events on some other sites I visit. But I am most interested in the early UFC events back when Kemo, Gracie, Shamrock, and others fought.
Is it possible to get a section for those fights. I would ask that if possible, could you guys get the first 5 UFC events which would be titled UFC 1-5. I would love to be able to watch them all, up to the last one UFC 94.

Fox Tells a Bigger Lie in Earlier Time Slot

Wednesday's ratings recap:
8 pm/ETFox's Lie to Me wore its new time slot well, topping the hour with 11.12 million total viewers — a 9
percent increase over its most recent, après-Idol audience. CBS' sitcombo placed second, with both
Old Christine (7.63 mil, +310K) and Gary Unmarried (7.71 mil, +450K) seeing gains. Top Model was
looking pretty in third (!) place, surging 15 percent from its premiere to 4.47 mil.
NBC's Chopping Block barely bested Scrubs repeats with an audience of under 4 mil — the Peacock's
lowest-rated premiere of the season.
9 pm American Idol unveiled its "Judges' Save" twist to 24.9 million viewers, an increase of 11 percent from
last Wednesday's results show (yet down 6 percent year-over-year). Criminal Minds came in second
with 14 mil. Life, at 5.3 mil, was up 430 thou. Lost returns next week!
10 pmCSI: NY dominated with 13.52 million viewers, up 820K week-to-week. Law & Order followed with 7.6
mil (up 440K). Life on Mars continued to die on the vine, dropping 19 percent to 4.58 mil
